World Radiocommunication Conference opens in Dubai

JEDDAH: A Saudi delegation representing the government and private sector is taking part in the World Radiocommunication Conference, which opened in Dubai on Monday.

The Kingdom’s involvement aims to enhance the use of radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits for international mobile communications, air and maritime transport services, radio services and meteorology.

The delegation is led by Mohammed Altamimi, governor of the Saudi Communications, Space and Technology Commission.

WRC23 is attended by Over 4000 participants from more than 190 countries representing telecommunications regulatory bodies to explore global enhancements in the efficient use of frequency spectrum. (Twitter @ITU)
